Leading. Serving. Together!
The National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) was founded on May 10, 1930 with the purpose of fostering cooperative actions of its members in dealing with matters of mutual concern. The NPHC of the Greater Raleigh Area was established in 1948 and has continued to expand to serve our community.
All fraters and sorors of member chapters are welcome to attend general membership meetings. They are usually on first Tuesdays at 7:00 at the Kappa Center in Raleigh. The theme of this council for 2025 was #CollaborationMatters and our presence and activities reflected this theme. The theme for 2026 is #PositiveTurbulence and we are committed to shaking things up positively for our community.
Our annual Reverend Dr. A.M. “Gus” Witherspoon Awards was held on May 4th, 2025. In addition to our awardees and scholarship recipients, we also celebrated the 95th anniversary of the NPHC.
